BSAC Accelerated Decompression Procedures

The BSAC Accelerated Decompression Procedure will replacethe older BSAC Advanced Nitrox course.

What you learn
You'll learn to use specially prepared tables. The course will focus on the use of 50% and 70% nitrox mixes to shorten in water decompression and include the practical skills and theory needed to carry this out safely.

Qualification gained
Upon successful completion you will receive the Accelerated Decompression Procedures Certificate, qualifying you to carry
out decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40m, using
O2 as a decompression gas.

To enrol in the BSAC Accelerated Decompression Procedures, you must:

  • be a minimum 18 years old
  • hold a BSACSports Diver and Advanced Nitrox Diver, or equivalent
  • have full BSAC diving membership
  • have a BSAC certificate of fitness
  • have a minimum of 20 open water dives since qualifying as
    Sports Diver.

You will need a full set of diving kit. We offer equipment rental if required, at a discounted rate.
